SAILING FOR ADULTS

4 Day (2 Week-ends) Basic American Red Cross Certification Course

With the wind in your face and the bow of your boat cutting through the waves, you learn to sail practicing the techniques learned in this Community Sailing of Colorado, Ltd., American Red Cross certification course, taught by Red Cross certified sailing instructors.

Topics include: theory, rigging, knots, points of sail, right of way rules, capsize recovery, man overboard procedures and much more. Class includes at least 24 hours of water and class time which provides you with basic practical skills necessary to captain your own sailboat.

All classes are at Community Sailing's sailing beach shelter on the north side of Standley Lake. Bring bathing suit, towel, change of clothes, sun-screen, food and drinking water. Ages 18-85.

Tuition (4 day session): $475

Session 1: Saturday and Sunday - June 14, 15, 21, 22 - 9:30 am to 3:30 pm

Session 2: Saturday and Sunday - July 12, 13, 19, 20 - 9:30 am to 3:30 pm

Session 3: Saturday and Sunday - August 2, 3, 9, 10 - 9:30 am to 3:30 pm
