Kids ! RACING CAMP Ages 8-17
This five day racing program allows parents to choose a week that best fit their busy schedule. Using an Optimist or higher performance boat youngsters will race every day. Youngsters will learn racing tactics, racing right of way rules, strategy, sail trim, wind recognition, reading telltales, roll tacking, boat prep, sailing sportsmanship, strengthen basic skills, practice tacking, jibing, sailing all points of sail, sailing in moderate and higher winds and heeling under control. This program includes intensive sailing drills. This is an advanced oriented sailing course with emphasis on making the boat go fast! Instruction, sailboats and safety equipment are included. Bring bathing suit, towel, change of clothes, sunscreen, lunch and drinking water. Call Community Sailing of Colorado, Ltd. at 303-757-7718 to schedule lessons or for more information.
