Kids ! Ages 8-17 INTERMEDIATE SAILING
This five-day intermediate sailing program allows parents to choose a week that best fit their busy schedule. Using a Sunfish, youngsters strengthen basic skills and learn to sail efficiently on any point of sail. Youngsters will practice tacking, jibing, sailing up-wind, sailing on all points of sail, sail trim, sailing in moderate winds, heeling under control, getting out of irons, review sailing nomenclature, practice knot tying, review weather recognition and capsize recovery. During the second half of this program youngsters will have time to go sailing in an unstructured supervised atmosphere. Program hours are Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.. Instruction, sailboats and safety equipment are included. Bring bathing suit, towel, change of clothes, sunscreen, lunch and drinking water.
