Our Staff
As a child growing up, I went and sailed on the Chesapeake Bay in Virginia for months at a time. I went to sailing camps at the Ware River Yacht Club from the ages of 7 to 15 and once I hit the Racing Skipper rank I became one of the instructors there. I have also sailed in the largely known Governor’s Cup in Virginia. I have never sailed competitively in Colorado but hope to this summer! There’s no way to describe how much I enjoy my passion for sailing. I love everything about it!
Kendall Mallon-Senior Sailing Instructor
Seven years ago, as a young eager child, I began my sailing adventure with CSC when the Standley Lake program was
open. I quickly fell in love with the sport and advanced through the ratings that summer—Standley Lake had a drop-in summer long program. Over the next five summers I familiarized myself will all sorts of boats ranging from catamarans
to high performance mono-hulls, and keelboats. My favorite boats are Hobiecats, I love the fast feeling skippering them—the water rushing beneath the trampoline or being out on the trapeze with the one of the hulls soaring above
the water. Sooner than I expected my time as a camper with CSC came to an end with a job offer once I turned seventeen. I started off teaching at Bow Mar Lake then moved to the Cherry Creek Reservoir the following summer. This is my third year as an instructor with CSC. I love to impart this ancient and magnificent sport upon our younger generations. It is a step out of dependence on technology and to utilize Nature.
