Jesse Fielding, MORNING LIGHT CREW MEMBER, will be joining us for a special presentation before the start of the film on February 24, 2011at the Denver FilmCenter//colfax. Jesse competed against hundreds of sailors to earn his spot on the bow of the TP 52 along side 10 other inexperienced sailors during the 2,225 mile Transpac Ocean Race. Jesse grew up racing small boats in Rhode Island and moved through the ranks of US Junior Sailing competition. After high school Jesse attended the University of Rhode Island for his freshman year before being selected for the Morning Light Project. After returning home, Jesse was the captain of the University of Rhode Island Sailing and skipper of the URI World Cup Racing Team. He recently graduated from URI with a dual major in Economics and Political Science and is now pursuing a career in the marine industry. He sails as much as possible on boats of all sizes, in shore and offshore.“Morning Light”
