Roy Burley Scholarship Application

In 2014, we all lost a great friend and a part of our sailing community after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Roy loved sailing and enjoyed all aspects of the sport. Whether it was working on his boats, bareboating in the BVI’s or being on the race course here in Colorado and around the country. He enjoyed it all. Roy had a big heart and very generously donated to CSC by paying forward with money that was raised on his behalf. You see Roy was the beneficiary of similar junior programs when he was a young man and they provided him with many of the skills and interests that he took into his adult life and made him the incredible person that he was.

So now Roy’s memory will live on in the Roy Burley scholarship fund of CSC.We named this fund after our friend and supporter, Roy Burley. By sharing his love of sailing, we are creating opportunities for those most in need. The scholarships are funded by individual donations that are solicited during the Gala Fundraiser in April and year-round donations. Sliding-scale and full scholarships are awarded annually due to our generous donors. More information about applying for a scholarship below.
