Beginner Level

Description
Taught by women. Meant for women*. Why should the guys have all the fun? Come join us for an evening to go for a sail with a small group of other women, “learn the ropes” so to speak, and see what sailing is all about. Come with an open mind, an adventurous spirit, and lots of questions. We’ll cater the content of each clinic to the interests of the participants.
Using a larger, more stable, keelboat makes this a perfect vessel for those just starting off as well as those who are building on their foundational skills. Try out one clinic and if you like it, sign up for more and invite your friends.
*And by women we mean anyone who is not cisgender male. Outside of that, everyone’s welcome!
Location: Boulder Reservoir
Day: Select Thursdays – 1 evening session

What do we need to bring?
- Outdoor clothes that you would wear on a hike are great. It does get colder as the sun sets so we recommend an extra layer. We will hold class if it’s raining (as long as there’s no lightning) so please dress accordingly.
- Closed-toed shoes are required
- Bring your own water for drinking
- Remove all jewelry (especially rings)
- Gloves are recommended: bike gloves and gardening gloves work great
- Long hair should be secured in a low ponytail or braid
- If you already have your own PFD, you’re welcome to wear it. Otherwise, we’ll provide you with one.
- Sunscreen
What if there is Inclement Weather?
Weather in CO can be tricky and ever-changing. We will do our best to notify you at least 2 hours before class begins if we need to cancel.
