Free Adaptive Sailing Clinics

Cherry Creek and Boulder Reservoir

Adaptive sailing is an inclusive program that allows us to work with individuals or families living with diverse abilities. Join us for a Free Adaptive Sailing Clinics where we  focus on teaching new skills and empower our sailors to be active participant. We have our fleet of Access 303 Sailboats, and RS Venture Keel 18’s. Bring a friend or family member or head out with one of our volunteers.

ALL participants under 18 must be accompanied by a participating adult who is also registered for the clinic. Participants over 18 are welcome to bring an accompanying friend, family member, or partner but it is not a requirement. ALL attending individuals must be registered in order to participate.

NOTE: For individuals using wheelchairs or other mobility aids, we non longer have access to a crane or hoyer lift at either location. We are currently working with both parks to obtain equipment that would help with transfers. For now we must rely on manual transfers and using a handsling.

We are always looking for new groups to host a clinic for. Outings last typically last 3-6 hours depending on the availability. Our goal is to teach new skills with our easy-to-use adaptive equipment.

Clinics begin with a brief overview of sailing terms and basic concepts. We then head to the boats for an introduction of the boat and boat parts. Feel free to contact us below for more information today.
