Roy Burley Scholarship Application
In 2014, we all lost a great friend and a part of our sailing community after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Roy loved sailing and enjoyed all aspects of the sport. Whether it was working on his boats, bareboating in the BVI’s or being on the race course here in Colorado and around the country. He enjoyed it all. Roy had a big heart and very generously donated to CSC by paying forward with money that was raised on his behalf. You see Roy was the beneficiary of similar junior programs when he was a young man and they provided him with many of the skills and interests that he took into his adult life and made him the incredible person that he was.
So now Roy’s memory will live on in the Roy Burley scholarship fund of CSC.We named this fund after our friend and supporter, Roy Burley. By sharing his love of sailing, we are creating opportunities for those most in need. The scholarships are funded by individual donations that are solicited during the Gala Fundraiser in April and year-round donations. Sliding-scale and full scholarships are awarded annually due to our generous donors. More information about applying for a scholarship below.
If you have registered for a summer camp or class through ACTIVE registration system you have already completed all the necessary forms to attend. Under the resources section of our website you will find information regarding frequently asked questions and what to expect on a typical day of camp.
For all other events, partnership-based outings or days of sailing that do not require an ACTIVE-based registration, please make sure to fill out this liability form including emergency contacts and any relevant medical/allergy information.

Adult Class instructors teach our adult sailors in Beginning and Intermediate Sailing Classes. We also have many opportunities to work with eager Interns who can do anything from design and marketing, communications, adaptive programming coordination, to on water instruction assistance.
If you’re interested in exploring internship possibilities, please contact us.

Each year we are looking for a team of talented instructors who are ready to share their passion with others. We have a variety of positions available each season with varying degrees of responsibility. Applicants must be 14 years or older with experience as a junior volunteer with CSC or other similar organization.
