Dear Sailing Community,
I’d first like to say thank each and every one of you for your support of Community Sailing of Colorado (CSC). CSC has been operating programs since 1995 impacting over 25,000 youth, adult and adaptive sailors during those 25 years. The impact from Boulder to Colorado Springs, our communities we share sailing with inspires us to make sailing accessible to all. We have weathered many storms together and are thinking of our community during this current crisis. Our first priority is safety for all our participants, volunteers, and staff along with providing a great outdoor distraction once we are able to.
We remain optimistic about the upcoming months as we plan for the summer. We are continually monitoring the situation and are taking the necessary precautions to keep ALL our sailors safe for upcoming programs. We will continue to update our community during the upcoming weeks with any schedule adjustments or modifications that will directly affect our programs. At this time all group events have been postponed, like most things, until the time is safe.
I know everyone has been impacted in different ways and know that we are thinking about you. From how we work, attend education, and interact has changed but please rest assure that sailing will be there once our weather warms. Take this time to connect with family, catch up friends and read a good (sailing) book.
I encourage you to reach out to us if you need anything during this time because as sailors we only come together and persevere during times of need. We know that sailing might not be the first thing we are thinking of and we hope to provide a very necessary recreational outlet when we are able to.
Warm Regards,
Bandon Kass
